Mad Hatters Village, a non-profit creative hub, invites both local and international AfrikaBurn participants to unite, sharing resources to sustainably create interactive and whimsical experiences.
Activities
From sunrise stretches to midnight marvels, every moment at the Village is infused with magic! Driven by a vibrant do-ocratic spirit, everyone contributes uniquely to our collective experience.
Morning
Mornings at Mad Hatters Village begin with curious concoctions of movement and mirth. Yoga, laughter-filled exercises, whimsical workshops, or simply sipping freshly brewed coffee while juggling teacups. Delightful absurdity is guaranteed.
Afternoon
As the sun rises in the sky you can immerse yourself in intriguing workshops, performances, and spontaneous spectacles that light up the day.
Evening
When night falls, the village glows - music, laughter, and curious encounters await under a canopy of stars, with DJs and live musicians creating an electric atmosphere while drinks flow from our volunteer-run bar.

Our peculiar kingdom is constructed from clever dreams and sturdy, sustainable designs. Upcycled structures and containerised ingenuity ensure our village’s charm endures.
Stored sustainably on-site each year, our owned infrastructure now reduces costs, allowing more energy and recourses to be channelled into creativity and connection. Every rand raised directly funds experiences and communal magic
